Delay model of signalized roundabouts被引量:2

In order to evaluate the service level of roundabouts intuitively, a new delay model of signalized roundabouts is established. According to traffic flow characteristics in the signalized roundabout, vehicle delays on roundabouts are divided into two parts: entrance delay and circulating lane delay. Entrance delay is calculated by the delay model in HCM2010. Circulating lane delay is studied by analyzing conflict behavior in signalized roundabouts, and the delay models of traffic flows turning in different directions are established based on the motorcade analysis method. Finally,the simulation software Vissim, calibrated with field data, is used to verify the model. The simulation results showthat the average relative error of the model is 10. 1%, meeting the accuracy requirements. Therefore, the delay model properly reflects the operation efficiency of a roundabout, and can thus provide a scientific basis for the design of control schemes.

Analysis of conflict factors between pedestrians and right-turning vehicles at signalized intersections被引量:8

Due to the fact that there is no protected signal phase for right turns at most signalized intersections, the conflict between pedestrians and right-turning vehicles is one of the most common conflict types for pedestrians. A pedestrian safety analysis of the common right-turn mode at four-phase signalized intersections is presented. Relative risk is used as a measure of the effect of behaviors. The analysis mainly includes five pedestrian factors that affect the conflict process between pedestrians and right-turning vehicles. Pedestrians tend to have a higher risk of being involved in conflicts in the following six situations: crossing with others, running over the crossing, entering the intersection, being near the exit lane, crossing in the middle or at the end of a green light when the right-turn lane is shared, crossing at the beginning of a green light or red period when the right-turn lane is exclusive. It is easier for pedestrians to get priority when crossing the street in the following situations: running over a crossing, entering the intersection, being near the entrance lane, and not using the crosswalk. However, pedestrians are more inclined to yield to right-turning vehicles when pedestrians are crossing in the middle of the green light time. Some measures to alleviate the conflict are put forward according to the conclusion. Video observations also indicate that a clear pedestrian waiting area must be marked for both pedestrian safety and right-turning vehicle efficiency at major flat intersections, particularly when the arms cover the lateral dividing strips.

Optimization of Crosswalk Width Based on Bi-Directional Pedestrian Crossing Time at Signalized Intersections

The effects of the interactions between bi-directional pedestrians on the crossing time and the crosswalk width are studied. Firstly,the crossing process of bi-directional pedestrians is analyzed.The total crosswalk time is divided into a discharge time and a crossing time. The interactions between bi-directional pedestrians are quantified with the drag force theory. Then,a model is developed to study the crossing time based on the kinetic energy theory and momentum theory. Subsequently,the related parameters of the proposed model are calibrated with observed information. The relationships among crosswalk width,signal time,pedestrian volume and level of service are simulated with the proposed model. The results are verified and compared with other models. The proposed model has an absolute value of relative error of 9. 38%,which is smaller than that of the Alhajyaseen model( 15. 26%) and Highway Capacity Manual( HCM) model( 12. 42%). Finally,suggested crosswalk widths at different conditions are successfully estimated with the proposed crossing time model.

Pedestrian Crosswalk Overflow Violation in China:Characteristics and Countermeasure

The phenomenon that pedestrians do not walk in the crosswalk during pedestrian green is defined as overflow violation, which is illegal but common. Broadly varying crossing positions at far-side cross-section may result in widely distributed conflict points with left-turning and right-turning vehicles, which may cause the occurrence of severe conflicts. This paper proposes a model to estimate the overflow pedestrians' crossing positions at the far-side cross-section of signalized crosswalk, which enables us to better understand pedestrian overflow violation behavior and finally facilitate their safety. After analysis, the intersection geometry and destination are determined as the critical factors causing pedestrians to overflow. And then, Weibull distribution is employed to describe the stochastic characteristics of overflow pedestrians' crossing position distribution at the far-side cross-section. A crossing position distribution model which takes the crosswalk length, width and distance between crosswalk and destination into account is developed. The established model is validated by comparing the observed pedestrian crossing positions with the estimated crossing positions. The validation results suggest that the established model is capable of being adopted to estimate the overflow pedestrians' crossing positions at far-side cross-section. Based on the model, countermeasure for overflow violation can be put forward to prevent pedestrians from walking outside the crosswalk.

分离式与并行式双左转车道通行能力被引量:1

调查了分离式、并行式双左转内、外侧车道的饱和车头时距和饱和流率,并计算了2种双左转方式下,左转车道的饱和流率相对于相邻直行车道的饱和流率的折算系数,对分离式与并行式双左转车道通行能力进行了对比分析;调查了2种双左转类型下各左转车道高峰小时流量,计算高峰小时平均流量折算系数,通过折算系数的比较,明确不同左转类型下各车道交通流量的实际分担情况;最后对2种双左转形式的优缺点进行分析,为交叉口标志标线设计提供参考。研究结果表明:在左转绿信比相同的情况下,分离式双左转车道的通行能力略高于并行式。

非严格优先权下许可相位左转车辆侵占时距分布模型被引量:1

提出侵占时距的概念来描述非严格优先权下许可相位左转车流的微观特性,并根据左转车辆通过时,交叉口内对向直行车辆的不同存在形式,划分成了4种交通状态.基于大量的实测数据,利用7种不同的模型对侵占时距分布进行拟合.采用最大似然估计法进行参数估计,通过Kolmogorov-Smirnov检验对不同模型在不同状态下的拟合优度进行判定.最终得到Log-Logistic模型对不同交通状态下的拟合效果最优,并且其模型参数值的大小与对向直行车辆的不同存在状态有关.最后,选取了2个交叉口作为验证组,验证了Log-Logistic模型在不同交叉口不同交通状态下的适用性.

基于模糊聚类的驾驶决策判别被引量:2

分析了在驾驶决策过程中的生理和心理活动,确定了影响驾驶决策的主要因素,例如感知范围、驾驶经验等。在此基础上,考虑驾驶心理,计算了驾驶员感知临界值和紧急响应临界值,并且利用模糊聚类方法对信息样本分类,得到信息样本在不同驾驶决策上的隶属程度,从而判别驾驶员采取加速、减速、匀速自由驾驶或紧急制动。最后,分析了不同道路等级条件下驾驶员心理感知响应的临界值变化。结果表明:驾驶员心理感知范围并不只是驾驶员视觉上对距离的感应,在不同速度条件下驾驶员心理也会发生很大变化。本文方法直观、简单,可为交通仿真和交通安全提供理论依据。

基于车载的运动行人区域估计方法被引量:3

针对传统行人检测系统采用全局模板搜索匹配识别易造成大量的盲目空间搜索,降低了行人检测的实时性,且难于直接服务于车载环境下的无人驾驶、行人安全保障技术等应用的问题,基于运动行人与车载移动背景的运动差异性,提出了基于光流聚类的行人区域快速估计方法。该方法首先利用局部与全局光流相结合的计算方法,获取图像光流场;根据移动背景与前景的运动差异,建立了光流聚类算法和背景估计方法,获取剔除背景的可能前景光流图。然后利用图分割算法,实现光流矢量图分割,获取运动物体候选区域。最后根据人体形态特性,判别运动物体候选区域是否为行人有效区域,从而实现行人区域估计。基于JLU-PDS和Daimler国际行人共享测试库进行试验,结果表明本文算法具有较好的检测效果,能够极大地降低行人识别的空间搜索范围,为车载主动行人保障技术、无人驾驶、智能车辆等研究和应用提供了技术支持。

基于SVM的快速路合流区车辆间隙选择模型被引量:8

通过2种典型快速路合流区车辆行为观测,发现匝道车辆在选择间隙时存在多次超车行为,表明其汇入过程是一个多次决策的动态过程.根据合流过程中车辆速度的变化特性,判定车辆在选择间隙时的决策点并采集决策点处的微观交通流参数.在此基础上比较了2种不同渠化设计下入口匝道车辆汇入行为的差异.考虑到合流车辆不同行为判别所需的关键参数不同,使用2个支持向量机模型(SVM)进行分类,建立了合流区车辆多次决策的间隙选择模型.通过对采集的交通流参数进行训练,SVM模型的预测精度能够达到91%以上,实现预测车辆间隙选择的目的.最后与Logistic回归模型进行比较,结果证明所提出的模型能够获得较高精度.

小城市公共交通车辆及场站规模预测——以吉林省东丰县为例

为了对小城市公共车辆进行管理及运营调度,解决小城市公共车辆及场站规模预测问题,以吉林省东丰县为例,利用实际调查得到的数据,进行车辆预测及场站规模规划研究。通过预测小城市人口增长情况以及预测公交车和出租车的车辆数,以公共车辆数为基础,结合小城市公共场站建设的具体要求,按每标台公共车辆的场站用地需求,建立小城市公共交通综合场站用地需求模型。预测出东丰县需要的公共交通车辆数,确定东丰县需要规划的6个场站的用地规模。通过预测小城市人口数和公共交通车辆数,建立场站规划模型,解决场站规划问题。
